Smartphone Photography:
In the January smartphone SIG meeting, we watched a video about transferring cell phone photos to a computer, the cloud, or a mass storage device, and had a short discussion about our personal preferred methods. We also watched a video with many great travel photography tips and had a short discussion. Unfortunately, nobody brought any smartphone pix to share.
This month, the SB Photo Club bought a smartphone short course. It has 20 sessions of varying lengths. I plan to play a few of these for the Feb. 20 smartphone SIG meeting. The course starts very simply, but ultimately has very good information, some points experienced photographers take for granted (and can always use a reminder), which may be “ah-ha” moments for others. Since the video can not possibly cover everything, I’m sure what it does cover will spark some discussion. Come and be part of it. Participation is what keeps this SIG going. Smartphones are a great means to learn photographic skills.
As usual, if you have some phone pix to share, either that you are proud of or demonstrating some feature of your phone, please bring them as a jpg file on a flash drive or send them to me at brucehale.bah@gmail.com
