SADDLEBROOKE PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB Field Trip to Whitewater Draw Wildlife Area 1/7/2025 

Travel to Whitewater Draw approximately two and a half hour drive, near Mc Neal Arizona, to shoot huge flocks of up to 20.000 Sandhill cranes and many other migratory waterfowl. We will meet at the North Viewing Platform at the Draw at approximately 3.00pm, come earlier if you wish, and photograph the cranes at sunset flying into the draw to roost. Sunset is at 5.34pm. Travel to the lodgings of your choice, Douglas or Bisbee, and return the next morning for the dawn, 7.26am, flights to the fields, where the birds feed on harvested grains. They start coming back to the Draw to rest for the day around 10.00am. 

Date: Arrive January 7th and Depart January 8th. Lodgings in Douglas or Bisbee AZ. Both about 25 minutes from the Draw. The Gadsden Hotel in Douglas is a good choice as is The Bisbee Grand Hotel in Bisbee. Both historic old hotels. thegadsdenhotel.com bisbeegrandhotel.com .
