We are sorry to inform you that Mike Olbinski has to postpone his presentation this Saturday.  In place of his presentation, we will show an inspiring 25 minute video about a photographer who struggled with photographer's block and managed to rekindle his creativity by working on an amazing photo project. His experience is a version of writer's block, something we can all relate to.  After the video, Susan will create "Break-out Groups" on Zoom and in small groups, we can discuss our similar photographic experiences as well as share what has been helpful for us as photographers. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other. We can also use the time to talk about what we enjoyed most about the video.

Since this will be a virtual presentation given on Zoom, members should not go to the Coyote Room because they won't be able to participate in the breakout groups.

The Art of Storm Chasing

Olbinski will share the story of how he got into chasing storms, where it's led him, how his footage was licensed by Marvel Studios, how a monster dust storm helped the word "haboob" go mainstream, how he's failed and succeeded, how he forecasts for a chase and highlights of some of the best chases from 2021.

Mike's Bio:

Based out of Phoenix, Arizona...married for 24 years to Jina and has three kids, Lyla, Eli and Asher. Born and raised in Arizona, grew up loving the storms we got in the summers. Been doing full-time photography for about 8 years now.
