April Potluck/Happy Hour (04/17/2026)

Dear Friends,

We will be hosting the April potluck/happy hour at our house on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 4-6pm. Our address is 38495 S. Double Eagle Drive.

We are looking for hot and cold finger food which could end up being “dinner” for some of us. Also, if you can, bring a bottle of whatever you enjoy drinking and plan on sharing.

PLEASE BRING HOME WHATEVER IS LEFT OF WHAT YOU’VE BROUGHT. WE WANT TO HAVE ENOUGH FOR US ALL, but Harold and I don’t want you to be deprived of what’s left over of your contribution!

Please register (or email me) and indicate if you will be bringing a guest.

It would be great if one or more members decided to have a Happy Hour during the warmer months to keep the tradition going.

Welcome to the "Creative Cloud" Special Interest Group or "CC SIG". This session is intended for those who would like more information concerning the use of Adobe "Lightroom" (Classic), and Adobe Photoshop. Both of these applications are in wide use by amateur and professional photographers worldwide. Various topics of interest are discussed in detail during each session.

Nelson Rodriguez and Bill Todd moderate our Photoshop & Lightroom SIG on the third Saturday of the month from 9:00 am until noon via Zoom, until further notice. The moderators solicit questions from the membership prior to each meeting and answer your questions in the next meeting.

To submit a question email the question to pslrsig@gmail.com with CC SIG Question as the subject. If you need to submit a photo with your question PLEASE UPLOAD THE PHOTO BEFORE YOU EMAIL YOUR QUESTION. To upload your photo, go to this Google shared folder, double-click on the "Uploading Photos" document, and follow the instructions.

Smartphone Photography

In the April Smartphone SIG meeting, we continued viewing the next segment of the new smartphone short course recently purchased by the Club and showed some phone images taken by a few members.

In the May 8th meeting at 9:00 am, we will follow much the same program: watch another segment of the smartphone short course, have a brief discussion, and view members' photos. This session of the course comes in two parts: a slightly longer one related to the resident camera app for iPhone and a slightly shorter one for Android. Though the short course does not utilize the most recent versions of either system, the essential functionality is largely the same.

Those in attendance at the May meeting will decide whether to meet in the summer or to reconvene in Sept or October

As usual, if you have some phone pix to share, either that you are proud of or demonstrating some feature of your phone, please bring them aseeting until September 2026 a JPG file on a flash drive or send them to me at brucehale.bah@gmail.com
